Really keen to get out on a shortboard but the wind was really off at Felixstowe and not that strong so went to Levington and took out the Cat as it was low water and you had to sail out of the marina entrance.I rigged the 8.5 and thought it was way too big when I first went out but it was only a squall and things calmed down.I had a few runs in front of the marina before coming in to change to a smaller fin before beating up to Pin Mill - the high light of the the day was catching a seal asleep in a moored inflatable boat :) and loads of waders !!! The wind picked up for the reaches back as another black squall passed and it rained - this summer is crap :( but I had lots of planning runs and some nice gybes too :) Even managed a 20 kt N/mile including 2 gybes - must be improving !!!!So a not bad session making the most of the conditions - I was joined by Mag who biked down - she only got a little wet !!!
